Lawrence Randall Drew (or "El Randy" Drew) was born & raised in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. He had a great and interesting childhood. Following his graduation from Van Nuys High School in 1984, Randy earned a B.A. degree in Economics from California State University at Northridge. An early service industry entrepreneur, he subsidized the support he received from his wonderful family, for his tuition and living expenses, by starting and running a successful carpentry and handyman business.
Early on, Randy had a sense of civic responsibility, and he received the following awards: Los Angeles Police Department; Certificate of Appreciation, City of Los Angeles; Certificate of Appreciation, and California State Senate Districts 19 & 20; Certificates of Recognition. Years of community leadership have helped him better understand the needs and wants of the diverse peoples of the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles. He has spearheaded numerous successful community improvement projects, received 2 Certificates of Recognition from the County of Los Angeles, and was named the "Hero of Hope" by the Union Rescue Mission.
Randy spent some years working in Information Technology, and for the National Defense industry. During this time, he earned the internationally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI®). His success in managing complex projects led a Vice President and General Manager of Northrop Grumman to write "Randy Drew... Saved NSD $230,000 through process analysis with no prior, specific knowledge of the operations nor the systems. He has a good attitude, good work habits, is ethical, trustworthy and reliable."
In 2005, Randy served a real estate internship with a top-producing Real Estate Broker. In 2005 he successfully tested for his real estate license, and received his license in January of 2006 from the California Department of Real Estate (DRE). He is a member of the California Association of Realtors (CAR®), and the National Association of Realtors (NAR®). After interviewing several real estate brokerages, he made what many people considered to be a surprise decision.
When Randy joined Keller Williams Realty® World Media Center (WMC), it was a new and relatively unknown brokerage in California. So new in fact, that there were only about a dozen agents and the office didn't even have fax or copy machines. A gamble? Maybe, but Randy recognized that these few were exceptional agents and insightful people, with some of the best minds and experience in the business. Today the culture is one of service, values, and teamwork. Keller Williams Realty® WMC is now over 180 agents strong. Keller Williams Realty® was recently named "Best" by real estate buyers, and because our commitment to putting the customer first shows through consistently, our (typically red and white) signs now dominate the real estate landscape.
In the Summer of 2008, Randy completed the requirements for the Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) means alternative-to-litigation, and the masters-level program includes advanced studies in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. Randy completed his MBA from Pepperdine, in 2009. Currently, Pepperdine University is the #1 ranked ADR school in the country. Harvard is #2.
Randy believes a great real estate agent must keep her/his knowledge current and applicable to the ever-changing real estate market. He launched himself into a course of study that led to the attainment of 2 additional certifications. As a Certified Short Sale Specialist (CSSS®), and Certified Pre-Foreclosure Specialist (CPFS®), Randy provides a higher level of service to his clients, at a time that leaves many agents experimenting and guessing.
In 2009, Randy made another great move for his clients. By joining the Pat and David Fogg Real Estate Team, Randy has, once again, raised the bar for real estate values and service. The big advantage of a team that offers distinct buyers-side and sellers-side services is specialization. Being able to concentrate on one skill set leads to better service through focus and innovation. As heavyweight champions of real estate in and around Burbank and Los Angeles, the Fogg Team quite often knows first, what is occurring in the local real estate market. Our clients are better informed, and better positioned to take advantage of the very best opportunities. Randy considers it his responsibility, honor, and pleasure to provide the highest level of real estate service to his clients.
The last word in real estate…
Congratulations!
